Hi lee, tbh, I'm still using mine and they're fine, esp for the price.

Depends how much you intend to use them I guess. I've done a fair amount of work with them and they've held up well, but I don't use them that often.

What a great post! I've been to Portmeirion many times, having got married there several years ago. Now I'm a wedding photographer myself it would be my dream to photograph a wedding there. Unlikely though given where I live! Great advice on preparation though.

Well, I've just seen the comments above and feel that I need to add my own comment...
I'm obviously the guy who is being spoken of here, as I provide tech support to both Lencarta and it's customers.

Firstly, I'm far from being the only person involved in the firm - that's just nonsense.

Secondly, 'Dave' is simply not telling the truth. On the very, very few occasions that people have returned goods for any reason and asked for a refund, they've had the refund.

We do occasionally get customers who claim not to have had a reply, but that always turns out to be people who haven't seen the reply because it's ended up in their junk folder and they haven't bothered to check there. I make that mistake myself sometimes, but when it happens it's my mistake and I don't blame other people for it...

It isn't true that Lencarta flashes 'don't offer as much control as higher end options' because they have a full 5 stops of adjustment, exactly the same as all other good makes. Perhaps you should have bought the 300 Ws model instead, very few people have an actual need for anything as powerful as a 600Ws head

Now let's get to the true bit - things do sometimes go wrong, that's inevitable. But when they do, they always get put right as quickly as poss.
